In Isaiah 46, it says God declares the end from the beginning. Isaiah 48 has a similar verse. In Genesis 1, why did God take six days to create the world and rest on the seventh? He could have just created it in the blink of an eye.
The Bible especially in the Old Testament is full of foreshadowing. Example: When Abraham takes his son Issac to sacrifice him. A picture of what God would do to His Son, to sacrifice Him for the sins of the world. In 2 Peter 3:8 it says 1,000 years is as one day to the Lord and a 1,000 years is as one day. In Psalms 90, it says 1,000 years in God's sight is as of yesterday. Could this be that the creation story indicates that the time man would have on this Earth would be 6,000 years, with the 7th day being the 1,000 year millennial reign when Christ comes back to set up His Earthly Kingdom. Bible scholars have indicated from the time of Adam to the time of Jesus to be 4,000 years. God measures times in sevens. God created the world in seven days, with the seventh day being a day of rest. According to the Old Testament, the Jews were required to rest every seven days. Plus the seventh week after the Pass over, they celebrated the big feast and a rest on the seventh month was perhaps their most important, when they celebrated three of their biggest feasts and a rest. Every seventh year was a year of rest for the land and every forty-nine years which is seven times seven, they celebrated the year of Jubilee, where they celebrated rest for the land and liberty for the people.
Revelation 20: Christs Thousand year reign. Seven thousand year perhaps. So, when God deals with time, he does so by sevens. There's no other predominant system in the word of God. Hosea 6: Talking about Israel, Gods chosen nation that is always rejecting God. The nation not going to be torn apart. Verse 2: After two days he will revive us and on the third day he will raise us up and we shall live in this sight. What is this? You see when Jesus came Israel rejected him as their messiah, So God scattered the nation all over the world. For 1900 years there is no nation of Israel, but God says for two days or two thousand years, I shall revive the and you shall live in my sight. You can see that happening now.
The scattered nation of Israel has been re-gathered right in front of our eyes. In 1948 Israel became a nation again.
This is very important because God is reviving the nation of Israel and they are about to live in his sight. Because Jesus is coming back to set up His earthly kingdom. Have you ever met an Ammorite or a Cannite? Neither have I. Because these were Israels enemy's and they have not been preserved. But they Jews have been, because they're Gods chosen people and he must keep his promises he made to them.
But the Jews are still rejecting him. For how long? After two days or two thousand years I shall revive the and you shall live in My sight. In Exodus 19:11 When God told Israel to get clean and wait two days (For shadowing)because on the third day I'm coming down in the sight of all the nation. In John 11, Lazerous dies and Jesus waits two days before he sets out to resurrect him. Why? This might picture how God was going to turn his back on Israel for two days or two thousand years and start reaching out to the New Testament Church or the rest of the world which he did. He doesn't just throw this stuff in there to waste space.
In Mathew 17:1 Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up from the rest and Jesus is transformed in front of them and they're given a pre-view of his second coming Glory. It says after six days he takes them up from the rest of the group. Why does he take the time to say that? I think God is trying to tell us something that we need to know.
Remember the time from Adam to Christ is four thousand years or four days. And from Christ to now is two thousand years or two days. So can this mean that after six thousand years or six days that God will revive Israel and full fill the promises He made to Israel. In every case in the Bible like Sodom and Gamorha and the flood the believers weren't taken by surprise, Only the non-believers. The believers knew judgment was coming. Just something for us to think about.
